Most “best betting offers” lists are affiliate shopfronts: the order is set by commission, dead offers linger for months, and the quoted values are headline free-bet amounts rather than what you actually bank. This index is the opposite. Each month I re-read every bookmaker's current terms, correct anything that's drifted, retire anything that's gone, and publish the diff. The numbers below are estimated locked-in profit after the qualifying bet, assuming you lay everything with the free calculator.

What changed in August 2026
From the August 2026 audit of every bookmaker's live terms (completed 5 August). A quieter month than July — most offers held steady, but one welcome offer disappeared and two guides turned out to describe the wrong free-bet tokens:
- 888sport — the welcome offer has been withdrawn. 888sport's own UK promotions pages now list only existing-customer promos, and independent trackers have logged the sign-up offer as unavailable since late July. We have de-listed it from the index; the guide stays up with a suspension banner because the withdrawal looks temporary. Plenty of comparison sites still advertise it — those listings are stale.
- Coral — only four of the six £5 tokens are standard free bets. The other two are Bet Builder tokens, one football and one horse racing, which have no direct exchange market to lay against and so convert much lower. Est. profit £21 → £18. Qualifying deposits are also now Visa or Mastercard only — Apple Pay is excluded.
- BetGoodwin — the second £5 token is a Sub Cover free bet, not a player-markets free bet as we had it. Sub Cover is a BetGoodwin-specific racing market paying out one place beyond standard each-way terms, and nothing on the exchange matches it, so it cannot be laid cleanly. Est. profit £10 → £8.
- Sky Bet price boosts — the big Super Boosts are Sunday-only, not daily. Sky Bet brands them “Super Sunday Boosts” and runs them on the 2pm and 4:30pm games with a £10 cap for everyone. The separate daily price boosts are real, but smaller.
- Bet365 Acca Boost — two corrections. The minimum odds rule was the wrong way round: a leg priced at exactly 1.10 does qualify (bet365 excludes only selections below 1/10). And our expected-value figure was too generous — on a £5 acca the boost is worth well under £1 per placement, so we have cut the estimate from £4 to £2.
- Paddy Power Acca Insurance — still not showing on Paddy Power's promotions pages, which is normal for the football off-season. We have left the terms up with an availability warning and will re-check after the Premier League starts on 22 August.
Two open questions from July are now settled. Ladbrokes 2Up & Win does require the dedicated 2UP&WIN market — a standard match-result bet is explicitly excluded, confirmed in Ladbrokes' own verbatim terms across four independent sources. And talkSPORT BET's stake-match cap is £30, not £40; every remaining £40 listing traces back to June or earlier.
Earlier audits, for the record: July was a heavy month — thirteen offers had drifted and most had got worse. Tote halved to Bet £5 Get £20, Paddy Power cut free bets from £40 to £30 and added promo code YSKAST, LeoVegas went Bet Builder-only at 4.0, BetVictor's £30 turned out to be five restricted tokens, and talkSPORT BET's cap fell from £40 to £30. Bet365 was the good news: Bet Credits are 3× your qualifying stake up to £30. In June, Betfair Sportsbook's welcome offer rose from £30 to £50, Betfred's acca tokens moved to 4+ selections, and talkSPORT BET, BetGoodwin and Tote joined the index. In May, 17 offers had drifted from their advertised terms and the Betfair Free Bet Club was discontinued and retired. If you did your sign-ups from a list older than a month or two, it's worth re-checking terms before you place anything.
How the numbers work
“Est. profit” is what you lock in after the qualifying bet's small loss, assuming you convert free bets at a realistic 75–80% of face value by laying at the exchange (stake-not-returned free bets never convert at 100%). Restricted tokens — acca-only or Bet Builder-only free bets like Betway's and Unibet's — convert lower, which is why a £40 headline can rank below a £30 one. Which sign-up offer should I do first?
Coral or Ladbrokes. Both are Bet £5 Get £30 with simple terms, normal odds requirements and free bets that arrive instantly — the qualifying loss is pennies and the workflow is the gentlest introduction to matched betting. Sky Bet's Bet 5p Get £30 is the next one: the 5p stake means there is essentially no qualifying loss at all.
How much can I make from UK sign-up offers in total?
Roughly £520 of locked-in profit across the 28 sign-up offers on this index, after qualifying losses and realistic free-bet conversion. Add the three exchange welcome offers and it's about £575. That figure came down from £550 in the July 2026 audit, when several bookmakers cut their offers — which is exactly why a dated, re-verified index is worth more than a list quoting £1,000+ from sign-ups alone.
